A SHORT HISTORY OF MEDICINE:
“Doctor, I have an ear ache.”
2000 BC - “Here, eat this root.”
1000 BC - “That root is heathen, say this prayer.”
1850 AD - “That prayer is superstition, drink this potion.”
1940 AD - “That potion is snake oil, swallow this pill.”
1985 AD - “That pill is ineffective, take this antibiotic.”
2000 AD - “That antibiotic is artificial. Here, eat this root!”
Funny how things turn around, isn’t it!?! I talk to my family all the time about that very thing. What they teach their children and what we set before them as examples before them. They need to watch closely to what they pass on. It’s not until recently that God and I had that very long talk, and I am so glad we did, because I am seeing things so clearly with our grandchildren. I’m very glad that I have had the opprotunity to raise our children in the church and around such blessed family of God.
